Blake Griffin is NBA's Top Rookie

Clippers foward Blake Griffin will be presented with this season's NBA Rookie of the Year award. Despite missing the entire 2009-2010 season, Griffin burst onto the scene with his captivating play and his countless number of outrageous dunk.

Blake averaged 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists and became the first rookie since Yao Ming to participate in the All-Star Game.

Derrick Rose is NBA's MVP

To no one's surprise, Bulls guard Derrick Rose will be named the league's MVP. The 22 year-old is the youngest player to receive the honor in the history of the NBA.

Rose led the Bulls to an NBA-best 62-20 record while averaging 25.0 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.1 rebounds.

Trouble in Paradise?

The series is tied, Kobe is hurting, and Pau is still a bit timid.

This may be alarming for the two-time defending champs, but should they be pressing the panic button?

Arthur's Amazing Play

As if enduring a beatdown from the #8 seeded Grizzlies wasn't enough, the Spurs feel the wrath of Memphis big man Darrell Arthur. Arthur's end-to-end play pretty much sums up how this series is going so far.

Stage Fright?

In his second return to the Quicken Loans Arena since he took his talents to South Beach, LeBron James was conspicuously absent from the pre-game introductions. As James was announced to the Cleveland faithful, he was not on the court.

Unfortunately for the bitter Cavs fans, their chorus of boos went unattended.

Here's the clip:

However, much to the delight of the Cleveland fans, the Cavs pulled off 102-90 upset against Miami.

Forgot Something?

In the "What were they thinking?" department, the Boston Celtics unloaded Kendrick Perkins in Oklahoma City on deadline day.

Yes, it has been a number of weeks since the trade occurred and it wouldn't be filed under "news". But the fact that the Celtics aren't the same team is news. Their recent lack of toughness can be attributed to the loss of their former center.

Keep reading after the jump to see how much worse they are without the man they used to call "Perk".

JaVale McGee's Block Party

Washington big man JaVale McGee is now known for using his freakish athleticism to throw down eye-popping dunks. However, he should be known for his vicious swats.

Sprained in San Antonio

Legendary Spurs foward Tim Duncan went down during the first quarter of Monday night's win against the Warriors. After elevating for a dunk attempt, Duncan's left foot landed awkwardly on the left foot of Golden State's Epke Udoh.

Duncan's MRI results were negative and is currently nursing the sprained left ankle. As of now, there is no timetable set for his return as the playoffs are soon approaching. The Spurs currently sit atop the Western Conference and have a seven game lead over the defending champion Lakers.

Here's the injury:

Cuban (And Sheen) on Kimmel

The most colorful owner the league has ever seen, Mark Cuban, stopped by on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. The Dallas Mavericks owner touched upon a number of subjects including the possibility of buying the New York Mets. Cuban nixed the idea, however, stating "I don't think it's going to happen."

Later in the interview, actor Charlie Sheen walked onto the set. Sheen made a surprise appearance, throwing various t-shirts into the crowd which were marked with his infamous quotes over the past few weeks. Sheen also went as far as to kiss the show's host, Jimmy Kimmel.

Mark Cuban recently threw around the idea of developing a television show starring the unpredictable actor.

Here's a clip from the show:

The Dunk That Never Was

Rookie sensation Blake Griffin has had his fair share of incredible dunks this season. Alley-oops, posterizations, reverses, 360's...he's pretty much done it all. In fact, you could compose a ten minute highlight reel of the dunks he has done this season alone.

But perhaps his latest dunk is his best yet. Griffin threw one down over the Phoenix big man Marcin Gortat for a nasty slam on Sunday. However, it didn't count.

Instead of adding yet another amazing play to his vault, Griffin's dunk was nullified after the referee called an offensive foul on Blake.

Although it didn't count, here is the dunk that never was:
