Performance of the Night: March 22, 2011
In the game of year, Kobe Bryant led the defending champion Lakers to a 139-137 victory over the Phoenix Suns in three overtimes. Yup, three OT's.
Bryant dropped 42 points on a 15-of-31 clip. Kobe also grabbed 12 boards and was one assist shy of his second triple-double of the season. As usual, Kobe made huge plays on both ends of the ball and pushed the Lakers past their Pacific division rival.

Kobe passes Malone
Kobe Bryant passed Moses Malone for 6th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Bryant's 13th point of the night put him at 27, 410, passing Malone's 27, 409. Kobe finished the game with 26 points in a 101-87 victory in Atlanta.

We saw some vintage Kobe Bryant on Wednesday night in the Lakers' overtime victory against Portland. Kobe dropped 37 points, pulled down nine boards, and dished out six dimes. He scored the final eight points for Los Angeles in overtime, leading the Lakers to a rare win in Portland.

2011 NBA All-Star Game: A Hollywood Ending
The 2011 NBA All-Star Game saw the West defeating the East, 148-143. The West led throughout most of the game and held off a furious East rally led by Miami Heat superstar LeBron James.
Kobe Bryant was named the game's MVP. He scored 37 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, dished out 3 assists, and added 3 steals on his homecourt at the Staples Center. This is Bryant's fourth All-Star Game MVP award, tying him with Bob Pettit for the most in NBA history. Kobe was only five points shy of tying Wilt Chamberlain's All-Star Game record of 42 points.
Behind the homecooking of The Black Mamba, the West chalked up an impressive victory in the 60th edition of the NBA All-Star Game.

Yet another epic performance for Kobe Bryant in New York earns him the Performance of the Night. Bryant scored 33 points on a staggering 12 of 17 shooting night. He added 10 boards to give him his sixth double-double of the season. Kobe has a career average of 30.5 PPG at Madison Square Garden.

The Baltimore Bullets defeat the Fort Wayne Pistons 82-77. The Bullets did not make a substitution the entire game.

Kobe's 5000th Assist
Congratulations to Kobe Bryant who recorded his 5000th career assist last night against Houston. Bryant joins Jerry West and Magic Johnson as the only Lakers to achieve this feat.
