Derrick Rose is NBA's MVP

To no one's surprise, Bulls guard Derrick Rose will be named the league's MVP. The 22 year-old is the youngest player to receive the honor in the history of the NBA.

Rose led the Bulls to an NBA-best 62-20 record while averaging 25.0 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.1 rebounds.

Performance of the Night: April 11, 2011

Derrick Rose stated his case for this year's MVP award by cashing in a clutch performance on Sunday afternoon. Rose lifted the Bulls with 39 points on a staggering 13-of-17 clip. He also threw in three boards and five assists in the 102-99 victory over the Magic in Orlando.

Derrick Rose registered a huge game and is more than deserving of the Performance of the Night. Rose scored a career-high 42 points in just 39 minutes of play. He also added 8 dishes and 5 boards in the huge 109-99 victory over the Spurs. Rose continues to make his case for the being league's MVP.

The Association Awards

It is now February and it means only two things. The NBA All-Star Game is taking shape and the Academy Awards are soon approaching. In celebration of these two events, Hoop and the Harm presents the first annual Association Awards. A handful of award presented at the Academy Awards will be matched to a player, coach, or team that has best fulfilled that respective category.
