This Day in NBA History: February 4th

1961:
Despite a huge snowstorm in New York City, the Knicks host the St. Louis Hawks at Madison Square Garden. A total of 943 fans watched Bob Pettit and Lenny Wilkens lead the Hawks to a 128-11 win.

1987:
The Kings are held to only 4 points in the first quarter of their matchup with the Lakers. It was lowest amount of points scored in a quarter in the history of the shot-clock era.

1992:
The Celtics retire Larry Bird's number 33 in front of a sold out Boston Garden.
