1966
Wilt Chamberlain passes Bob Pettit as the NBA's all-time leading scorer. Chamberlain's 41 points in that game carried Philadelphia to a 149-123 victory over Detroit. (Chamberlain would later be surpassed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1984.)

1987
The Pontiac Silverdome holds an NBA single-game attendance record of 57,745. The Pistons defeated the 76ers, 125-107. (This record would later be broken in the same building less than a year later on January 29, 1988. This time, 61, 983 fans watched the Pistons take on the Celtics.)

2010
An NBA All-Star Game attendance record of 108, 713 people stack up Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas to watch the East defeat the West, 141-139. Dwyane Wade posted 28 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals in his MVP performance.
